6 Things That Excited Us at Intersolar

15.05.25

We didn’t come to this year’s Intersolar just to participate — we came to be seen.

And we were seen.

In color.

We thoroughly explored the trade fair with our eyes wide open. We met with many clients, partners, and manufacturers — thank you all for that.

Now, here’s a summary of the latest innovations that caught our attention like a tricky puzzle, just like Cinderella’s dress.

Cooling, cooling, cooling

The method of cooling large battery energy storage systems (BESS) is now an extremely important part of the whole setup. As storage capacity keeps growing, so do the demands on battery cooling, since the cells require a stable operating temperature and can’t tolerate overheating.

Many manufacturers at Intersolar showcased their battery solutions. The biggest innovations are particularly visible in modular systems, which can be easily scaled from 100 kWh up to multiple MWh to meet the needs of medium-sized projects.

The most significant changes and technological progress are in the cooling technology itself, which greatly extends system lifespan and enables use even in high-power applications.

Sungrow liquid-cooled battery

At the fair, Sungrow presented its BESS PowerStack system, which manages the entire storage as one compact module. Active cell balancing ensures optimal operating conditions and minimizes maintenance costs.

The key innovation is liquid cooling, which maintains an even temperature across all modules — with a maximum temperature difference of just 2.5 ºC.

Additionally, the system uses artificial intelligence to reduce cooling energy consumption by up to 33%.

This is one of the new battery system solutions with advanced cooling technology — the PowerStack will be available in our portfolio from Q3 2025.

SolarEdge showed the future: Nexis

At the trade fair, SolarEdge unveiled the next generation of residential systems built on a modern silicon carbide (SiC) platform, which we consider the future of inverters and battery systems.

The SolarEdge Nexis leverages this platform and offers:

  • Minimal energy losses across the entire power range
  • Elimination of the need for active cooling thanks to high efficiency
  • Significant improvements in system safety and lifespan

The new modular battery system is the first generation of batteries fully developed and manufactured directly by SolarEdge. It draws on experience from optimizing DC technology.

The result is a generational leap in efficiency, performance, and safety.

Availability: Initial deliveries are targeted at markets such as Germany and Denmark in Q4 2025, with availability in the Czech Republic expected in early 2026.

First test installations (Alpha sites) are already running in Israel and Germany. For the Czech Republic, we will be among the first distributors.

Battery Growatt AXE 60 kWh

Growatt introduced the new AXE commercial & industrial (C&I) battery with capacities of 50 and 60 kWh in a cabinet design, featuring the option for parallel connection.

  • an outdoor version with IP55 protection is also available
  • the system supports 1C charging and discharging

This battery system can be connected to the WIT inverter, including the current 50–100 kW series.

We are actively working on testing and certification of the new WIT 30–50 kW series to offer their full functionality on the market during Q3 2025.

PIXII Power Shaper XL-P

Starting this summer, Pixii will manufacture a new version of the Power Shaper called XL-P. The cabinet can hold up to 36 Pixii Boxes (3.3 kW inverters), delivering a total power of up to 120 kW.

The LFP battery modules have a capacity of 16.1 kWh, and the maximum capacity of a single system will be 225 kWh. The scalability provides the system with virtually unlimited capacity.

An exceptional feature is the Depth of Discharge (DoD) of 95%.

The BESS system comes with a 10-year warranty and you can place the order now. The PIXII XL-P will be released around Q3/Q4 2025.

Jinko - another TIER 1 producer in our portfolio

The world’s largest panel manufacturer, Jinko, offered us a distributor agreement — and we couldn’t say no.

We’re expanding their product range in our portfolio, so you can look forward to Tier 1 quality panels at very competitive prices.

A construction with mounting on the long side without screws

Van der Valk introduced the long-awaited panel mounting system for the long side. ValkPro+ MAX is designed for flat roofs and can hold panels up to 2400 mm in length.

No tools are needed for panel installation — the entire system simply snaps together.

We successfully tested the construction on a pilot project and are already including it in project offers.

Got a commercial project for pricing? Send it to us. ValkPro+ MAX is competitively priced compared to systems with short-side mounting.
