Growatt: New hybrid inverters for smart homes and commercial projects

25.09.25

With the changes in the PV sector come higher expectations: PV technologies must be simple to operate, safe and allow for further expansion according to the client's needs. This combination determines success with installers and investors.

And this is exactly what the manufacturer Growatt, which has built a strong position on the Czech market thanks to its broad portfolio for the residential and commercial sector, has emphasised in its development.

It is now expanding this portfolio with two new series of hybrid inverters - WIT HU for homes and smaller businesses and WIT XHU for larger commercial projects.

"Growatt's new line-ups target exactly the key requirements that come out of our daily communication with installation partners: ease of installation, intuitive operation and easy scalability. For us, the new WIT inverters definitely deliver," says Martin Novák, Technical Director of SOLSOL, which represents Growatt in the Czech Republic.

"The devices have already undergone internal testing and are currently being prepared for certification tests, which we expect to be completed during October 2025. We are already presenting the products to our partners and are seeing huge interest. In addition, everyone will be able to see Growatt's new products live at the Smart Energy Forum in Prague in October." adds Novák.

C&I news from Intersolar: performance and flexibility

One of this year's major innovations from Growatt, presented for the first time at Intersolar in Munich, is the WIT 29.9-50K-XHU hybrid inverter . Together with AXE battery solutions, it represents a comprehensive energy hub for commercial and industrial projects.

Four MPPT trackers allow up to 100 kW of power to be connected, while three battery ports and a generator port open the way to maximum flexibility and application possibilities.

The system can switch to backup mode in less than 10 ms and deliver up to 50 kW of power.

Other appreciated features include the compact design and the possibility of parallel operation in island mode.

Significantly, the system can handle up to 150% overload for 10 seconds, allowing it to cover high inrush currents for back-up loads. It can also handle demanding conditions in commercial installations with intelligent air cooling without derating up to 50°C. Remote management is a matter of course - installation performance can be monitored and adjusted online from anywhere.

"If you have a solution that is quick to implement, with integrated monitoring, and at the same time ensures maximum reliability even in the event of a network failure or overload, you are assured of stable operation. In addition, Growatt WIT XHU is a system designed to be flexible and scalable to meet the growing needs of clients." emphasizes Novák.

Growatt WIT XHU (29.9-50 kW)

  • Intelligent cooling, no derating up to 50 °C
  • 100% three-phase unbalanced load
  • 150% overload capacity in island mode
  • full readiness for weak grids

Smaller hybrid option for residential sector

The WIT HU LV series (4-15 kW) is designed for residential and possibly smaller businesses.

It offers multiple MPP trackers, high conversion efficiency and easy battery integration. The modular performance makes it easy to adapt to future expansions, for example when purchasing an electric car or heat pump.

It also benefits from a compact design that makes it easy to install in a utility room or garage, which will be appreciated by installers and end users alike. HU thus opens the way to energy self-sufficiency for every household.

"The new Growatt WIT HU and XHU inverters show how far hybrid technology has come. Together with AXE battery solutions, it is a complete ecosystem that adapts to the needs of customers from 4 kW to hundreds of kilowatt hours," adds Novák.

Full support in the Czech Republic

Growatt reaffirms that it is one of the leaders in hybrid inverters. In the Czech Republic, customers can rely on full technical support, training and service facilities.

In addition, the products are stocked in SOLSOL's new 8,000 m² high-capacity warehouse in Olomouc, ensuring fast availability even for larger projects.

Of course, certification according to the requirements of Czech distribution companies (PPDS), carried out by accredited testing laboratories, is also a matter of course, without which the inverters cannot be connected to the distribution network in the Czech Republic.

Growatt WIT HU (4-15 kW)

  • optimised for single-family homes and small businesses
  • Multiple MPPT trackers for flexible PV array design
  • quiet operation and compact design
  • easy battery connection
