SigenStor: everything you need in one system

Generation, batteries and energy management in a single system

SigenStor is a modular energy system that combines a photovoltaic inverter, battery power electronics, battery modules and energy management in a single solution. Depending on the configuration, the system can also be supplemented with a home backup system or DC charging for an electric vehicle.

Thanks to its integrated architecture, the installation company does not need to assemble the core components of the energy system from several different manufacturers. The individual devices are designed to communicate with one another and are managed via the shared mySigen app.

What SigenStor offers

  • integration of the inverter, battery and energy management
  • modular battery capacity
  • one to six battery modules in a single column
  • the option to gradually expand the system
  • Integrated diagnostics
  • Monitoring and control via the mySigen app
  • option for domestic backup power supply
  • optional extension to include electric vehicle charging

SigenStor can be used for a new photovoltaic power plant with a battery, an AC-connected storage system, a backup power system, or a solution combining photovoltaics, a battery and electric vehicle charging.

Sigenergy hybrid inverters

Get started with photovoltaics. Add a battery as and when required.

Sigenergy hybrid inverters can be used for a stand-alone photovoltaic system or as the basis for a system that will later be expanded to include a battery and a backup power supply.

The manufacturer’s residential range includes both single-phase and three-phase variants. The presentation features single-phase models ranging from 2 to 6 kW and three-phase models ranging from 3 to 12 kW.

Slim design and exceptionally quiet operation

The inverters are approximately 100 mm deep, so they take up less space and can be more easily integrated into utility rooms with limited space.

Cooling requires no internal or external fan. The manufacturer states a noise level of around 25 dB depending on the specific model – which is below the level of a human whisper. The absence of a fan also eliminates a moving part that is prone to gradual wear and tear.

Key benefits of Sigenergy hybrid inverters

  • an exceptionally slim design with a depth of just 99 mm
  • natural cooling without an internal or external fan
  • very quiet operation from 25 dB, depending on the specific model
  • compact design suitable for residential installations
  • Option to connect battery storage straight away or add it later
  • Integration with Sigenergy batteries and energy management system
  • Monitoring and control via the mySigen app
  • Technical support and after-sales service provided directly by SOLSOL

Home backup

A backup solution that makes sense right from the project design stage

All-day backup

  • Depending on the system configuration.

Rapid switchover to backup

  • For seamless operation in the event of a power cut.

Higher start-up power

  • For more power-hungry domestic appliances.

SigenStor battery

Capacity based on actual household consumption

The Sigenergy battery storage system is based on individual SigenStor BAT 6.0 and BAT 10.0 modules. According to the manufacturer’s presentation, one to six battery modules can be combined in a single column. A SOLSOL sales representative will confirm the specific models and their availability.

Each battery module has its own optimiser, and the modules are connected in parallel. This allows the system to better accommodate differences in charge level, condition or parameters between individual modules. This simplifies battery management and facilitates future expansion.

Advantages of a modular battery

  • modular capacity design
  • Option for gradual expansion
  • optimisation at the level of each battery module
  • parallel connection of modules
  • Compact, stackable design
  • multi-level battery protection
  • integrated monitoring with the rest of the system

Safety from the battery cell right through to the entire system

The battery modules utilise several layers of protection, including heat-resistant and aerogel insulation elements, an integrated fire-suppression element, a pressure relief valve and comprehensive temperature monitoring.

At the system-wide level, these are supplemented by protection against arc faults, grid faults, short circuits on the DC bus, and the propagation of faults between individual parts of the system.

mySigen

Overview and control of the entire system in a single app

The mySigen app provides an overview of the photovoltaic power plant’s output, household consumption, battery status and energy flows between the various parts of the system.

Users can monitor energy flows, battery information and the system’s operational status, as well as manage connected devices, all from a single interface.

What the app enables

  • monitor current energy flows
  • view energy sources and usage
  • check the battery status
  • carry out system diagnostics
  • select operating modes
  • control selected smart appliances
  • use intelligent control based on energy generation, consumption and prices

Sigenergy as a technology manufacturer

Sigenergy was founded in 2022 and focuses on interconnected solutions for residential, commercial and large-scale energy projects. Its residential portfolio includes SigenStor, hybrid inverters, batteries, backup systems, electric vehicle charging and a shared software platform.

The manufacturer therefore does not merely produce individual components, but builds an entire ecosystem for energy generation, storage and management.

From an installation company’s perspective, however, the manufacturer’s global scale is only one part of the decision. Equally important is who will handle technical enquiries and issues after installation. That is why we complement Sigenergy’s products with our own SOLSOL support.

Sigenergy technical support from SOLSOL

We supply technology and provide long-term support

The collaboration does not end with the choice of technology. We also provide installation companies with support when working with Sigenergy products and in addressing technical requirements.

SOLSOL is the direct point of contact for:

  • consultation on suitable configurations
  • technical enquiries regarding Sigenergy products
  • support with troubleshooting
  • assessing technical requirements
  • handling complaints

This means that the installation company does not have to deal with technology, technical support and complaints through several different organisations.

You’ll receive products, technical support and a complaints service all from a single partner.

Why choose Sigenergy from SOLSOL

Sigenergy forms part of our residential portfolio as a comprehensive solution for customers seeking an interconnected and scalable energy system.

We offer installation companies:

FAQ

Is it possible to start with just a hybrid inverter and add a battery later?

Yes. Sigenergy hybrid inverters can be used as a standalone basis for a solar power system, with battery storage added later. This means the customer does not have to invest in the entire system right from the start, and the installation can be gradually expanded according to their needs. For some configurations, a relevant licence or activation of a specific function may be required to connect a battery at a later date.

How does the backup function work with Sigenergy?

The system can be supplemented with the Sigenergy Energy Gateway, which, in the event of a grid outage, isolates the installation from the grid and enables selected circuits – or, depending on the configuration, all domestic circuits – to be powered from the battery and photovoltaic system. For supported configurations, Sigenergy states that the transition to backup mode is seamless from the load’s perspective. The specific output and scope of the backup always depend on the system design, the inverter’s output, the battery and the household’s wiring.

How can the capacity of the Sigenergy battery be scaled?

The Sigenergy battery storage system has a modular design, so the capacity can be tailored to a specific installation and increased later if necessary. This means the customer does not have to purchase the maximum capacity right from the start.

Individual battery modules are combined into a single system and, thanks to the parallel architecture, the solution can be expanded to accommodate future household consumption, a larger photovoltaic system or, for example, the purchase of an electric vehicle. The entire system remains monitored and controlled collectively within the Sigenergy ecosystem.

Is monitoring part of the solution?

Yes. The entire system can be monitored and controlled via the mySigen app. Within the app, the user can view photovoltaic generation, household consumption, battery status and current energy flows, and can adjust the system’s operating modes. This allows them to monitor the entire Sigenergy ecosystem within a single interface, rather than individual devices separately.

Does SOLSOL provide technical support and after-sales service?

Yes. At Sigenergy, we don’t want to be just a technology supplier. SOLSOL provides support with system design and configuration, technical consultations, assistance with diagnostics and after-sales service. This means the installation company has a single point of contact for the technology, technical support and after-sales service.
