SolarEdge inverters from 2023/24 cannot have their warranty extended to 20 years

On the market you can find very cheap SolarEdge products from 2023/2024, which can still get a 12-year warranty if installed and connected to monitoring until the end of 2026 - more here.

But beware! You cannot extend the 20-year warranty on these inverters under the current SolarEdge terms and conditions, as this can only be purchased within 24 months of the SolarEdge being shipped to the distributor.

SOLSOL is the largest SolarEdge partner in the country according to the sales figures and has successfully sold out the old stock. For projects (with a few exceptions) they only offer newly delivered goods in the so-called Multi Range concept.

What does this mean? The customer receives in one box the power of the inverter e.g. SE50/66k or SE90k/SE100k and decides which power to use and what final label to stick on the inverter (see attachment and DEMO here).

The warranty can of course be easily extended to 20 years, directly on the manufacturer's website.

1. New SESUK units and inverters (manager) have new product numbers (P/N) than older versions (e.g. SESUK-RW00INNN4 vs SESUK-RWR0INNN8). Can I combine them?

Yes - the new and older SESUK units are the same and all new converters (managers) are compatible.

2. Can I increase the power of the inverter later and add panels to the installation?

Yes, e.g. from an SE50k inverter SolarEdge can make an activation to SE66k for a small fee.
