Manufacturers' first reactions were swift. In August, the price of panels made in China increased by 5%. At SOLSOL, we are still holding July's averages and only slightly adjusting prices for AIKO panels, whose manufacturer has already raised its prices for the fourth time this year.
However, more significant changes are likely to come in September and October. The cancellation of export subsidies for Chinese manufacturers supplying to Europe – at a rate of 9% – is expected. This move is likely to affect not only panels but also inverters and batteries.
We are closely monitoring these developments and will keep you informed.
If you have ongoing projects with fixed price offers but no secured technology, we recommend preparing for this situation.
After a long period of sales below production costs, photovoltaics are returning to a more sustainable model.
A more stable environment means:
The market is finally moving in a direction where long-term stability benefits everyone – from manufacturers to customers.
